Default Protocols

For macOS version, TrueVPN operates on OpenVPN protocols by default, and users have the ability to change connection protocol at anytime.

For iOS & iPadOS versions, TrueVPN operates on IKEv2 by default, and users have the ability to change connection protocol at anytime.

How to Change VPN Connection Protocol?

In order for you to change connection protocols, Please follow these steps.

For iOS & iPadOS Users

  • Open TrueVPN
  • Login to your Account.
  • Goto Options by clicking on Options button or by clicking into your profile picture.
  • From the Options UI, Navigate to Connection
  • Scroll down and Change the Connection Protocol

For Mac Users

  • Open TrueVPN
  • Login to your Account.
  • Goto Options by clicking on (TrueVPN > Preferences) from the menu bar or  by clicking into your profile picture.
  • From the General Tab, You’ll be able to change the connection protocol
